The Project Hello Stranger team  headed down to Raffles Place at 8am in the morning on 12th April 2012 (Thursday), to issue High 5s to the working crowd to start off their day. This marks their 2nd public appearance.

Although it sounds like a pretty cool idea, it just doesn't really make a lot of sense. As you can see from the video itself, some of those who did return the high 5s look awkward, and even forced a smile!

 

A suggestion would be to hide the cameras instead, so that at the very least, they do not know that they are on cam! I hope that they can also reach out to more places, such as the neighbourhoods. A more effective campaign would be to do it on a weekend, where people are "more relaxed".

I just saw a friend remarked on Facebook, " Ever wonder what will happen if Project Hello Stranger issue Free High 5s to those commuters stuck in the trains during a MRT breakdown? "

I'm extremely disturbed by an insensitive remark made by a girl on a NSF guy who passed away during training a few days back.

It seems that she does not appear to be saddened by the news, but instead made the comment that "Singaporean men are too weak, followed by a LOL".

LOL?! Did you just laugh out loud?

I think you are just being very insensitive here, and of course, you deserve to be chided by fellow netizens. Please spare a thought for the guy. I'm glad that you make the effort to make a public apology. Let's just hope that each and everyone of us can be more sensitive to those people around us. By doing so, we will be able to make life better, both for ourselves, and others around us.

I'm so looking forward to the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for my Samsung Galaxy note in Q1, but it seems like it will be delayed until Q2 in Singapore.

Samsung has not officially announced the date for the updates, and it seems that many people in Singapore are getting very impatient.

2 brothers have created a huge sensation in Singapore over the past few weeks. If you are not aware of what they are, they are Dr JiaJia and his big brother.

In some of their videos on YouTube, they discussed about certain issues pertaining to fellow Singaporeans. Their heavy usage of Singlish has touched the hearts of many people in the country. I believe that if you are staying in Singapore, you might have heard of them recently, especially when they are featured in numerous magazines, newspapers, websites, and so on.

I recommended their videos to my friends, and all of them had a good laugh!

Nat Ho's first music video has drew much criticism on YouTube, but he is taking it all in his stride.

The local-made video for his new mini-album's title track "Unleashed" came at a hefty price-tag - S$100,000, an amount that looks really expensive, given his debut in the Singapore singing industry.

YouTube viewers have given the video 732 'likes' since it was posted on YouTube last week, and the number of 'dislikes' of 764 has surpassed the 'likes' by a mere fraction.

While I am quite impressed with this video, some others criticised the 27-year-old for "trying too hard" to "act K-pop". Some also complained that the video used "too much auto tune".

Give him a break guys! He is trying to produce something that comes from a fellow Singaporean. K-pop or not, does it really matter? Do you seriously want him to produce a Singlish MTV instead, something we can call uniquely Singapore? Think again!

It is hard to live your own dreams these days. You are probably lost in other people's dreams. At least give this guy some credit!
