We have all been there, Trying to diet and not sure if our snacks are on the no, no list. Wouldn't it be better for us to know for sure? We need to find treats and snacks that will allow us to stay in our limits. But we also want snacks and treats that are satisfying to our taste buds. So how do we accomplish this feat? Well we need delicious treats without the calories. Fruit is almost always a satisfying way of accomplishing this. That is if the fruit isn't processed with unwanted sugars were trying to stay away from. Snacks with 50 Calories or less: 1. Fruit Bars: They're satisfying, delicious and low calorie treats. 2. Cinnamon Sugar Popcorn: Four cups of popcorn put it in a bowl. Then add two to three packets of Equal or Splenda, One teaspoon of Cinnamon, One tablespoon of light brown sugar, Add one tablespoon of light 0 calorie butter substitute. Mix it up and you have one low calorie snack. 3. Root Beer Float: Fill a glass about 3 quarters with diet root beer. Then scoop a quarter of a cup of light vanilla ice cream. Bang you've got a low calorie root beer float!! 4. Strawberries: Take 5 fresh strawberries, cover them with two teaspoons of confectionery sugar. |
5. Toast: Toast an all grain bread, Add some no-cal butter substitute. You could even add a touch of jelly or jam. Another low cal snack that's simply satisfying.
6. Jello: Now tell me, Who doesn't like a good flavored jello? There are many low cal variety's now a days. Look in your grocers food isle. It makes another great low calorie snack.
Keep it simple and don't go over board in your quest. There are plenty of foods that will keep your taste buds happy. Also a lot of food that can keep the Borg man away.
