Introduction

Taking up golf as a hobby can be one of the most expensive sports in the world. From taking up courses to buying golf equipment to club membership, you can easily spend tens of thousands to pursue this interest. What makes golf such a popular sport then?

Golf is extremely popular with wealthy people, because only them can afford it! So it is considered a prestigious sport.
It is also one of the most televised sports with sponsorship from MNCs, usually banks.
It is physically less challenging, and so makes it an ideal sport of all, young and old.
Made popular with brand names like Tiger and Annika, or vice versa?

Thankfully, you need not be rich to play golf these days. You can easily pick up a good golf club for a couple of hundred dollars, attend affordable golf lessons and get to enjoy this game.

Golf playing instructions - how to play better golf

Simple Golf Swing

I chanced on this golf guide when I did a google search on golfing instructions. Honestly, I didn't give it much attention when I first saw it because I believe most of the materials online are crap. But apparently, there were many good reviews on this golf guide and so I decided to take a closer look at it.

I play golf as and when I'm free, so I do not have a lot of time to practise the methods taught by David Nevogt, the writer of this book. He has helped over 16,000 golfers improve in their games and I thought I would be one of them. Although I did improve by a few strokes, I never really got to play golf due to my working schedule.

Simple Golf Swing is a worthy investment for me but you must really put in the time and effort to see any significant improvement in your game. It took me about 4 months to really get the idea behind that "simple" method taught by David. It is basically a simpler swing motion that will give you more consistent results. This guide has corrected one of my major problem - inconsistency.
